High Load Request Form

If you are moving a high load, and the load is over 4.8 metres, you are required by Alberta Transportation to complete an EQUS High Load Request Form. It should be submitted to the EQUS Area Office which is nearest to the starting point of the route for review and authorization.

EQUS will determine if there is adequate clearance under our overhead power lines based on the route information provided.   

Once it has been determined by EQUS whether or not an escort is required, you will be notified. You must be notified by an EQUS representative before proceeding with the high load move.

There may be a fee to have an EQUS representative check the route. If the load requires an escort, an hourly fee will be charged.

A minimum of five business days is required prior to the move date.
