EQUS Staff Support Back to School

Each year, EQUS staff come together to show their community spirit by donating school supplies and backpacks to schools in the EQUS Service Area, ensuring that rural students are prepared for their new school year.

This year, the EQUS team chose three schools in our North Service Area to support: Entwistle School, Grasmere School, and Wabamun School. EQUS staff donated new school supplies and backpacks for students from kindergarten to grade 9 who needed them, and provided additional supplies to be kept at the school and shared amongst any students that need them.

In total, the EQUS team sponsored 15 students at Entwistle School, with age-appropriate backpacks stuffed with all the supplies for their grade, and donated $530 in cash that was used to purchase general supplies to be shared amongst students at Grasmere and Wabamun Schools.

From Grasmere School: "Thank you to EQUS for the generous donation of school supplies! They donated water bottles, pens, markers and many other supplies that will be put to good use by our students."

For 2022, the EQUS team will focus on schools in our Central Service Area.
