EQUS Staff Support Farm Safety Centre
The EQUS Community Connection is our own internal community fundraising initiative, through which EQUS staff and Board of Directors donate to fund initiatives that support our rural Alberta communities. Each year EQUS staff participate in fundraising events such as our annual silent auction, staff lunches, 50/50 draws and more to raise funds to support a Charity-of-Choice as chosen by an employee committee.

We're excited to share that our EQUS team was able to raise $10,000 last year through staff fundraising initiatives, and we've partnered with the Farm Safety Centre to ensure those funds support safety in our farm communities! Earlier this month EQUS Business Development Representative, Dan Westhora, stopped by the Farm Safety Centre in Raymond to present Executive Director, Jordan Jensen, with a cheque on behalf of the EQUS team.

These funds will support the Farm Safety Centre in the delivery of their 'Safety Smarts' program which brings safety presentations and supporting learning materials to schools throughout rural Alberta. These funds will also support the development of a power line safety component of this valuable program.

Thank you to all of our generous community partners who support our fundraising initiatives throughout the year, and we're looking forward to the return of our Annual Charity Golf Tournament this summer!
