Operation Round Up(date) - 2022 Q4 Funding

Congratulations to the recipients of Operation Round Up funding from the fourth quarter of 2022! The Operation Round Up Committee reviewed many excellent applications and awarded the final round of funding for the year to two deserving organizations. We are pleased that EQUS members can support these great projects in our rural communities:

Innisfail Curling Club, $4,880 - Funding to purchase sliders, grippers, and rocks for junior curlers at the club. The new equipment will replace aging existing equipment which has been well used and facilitate upcoming curling clinics with the University of Calgary Dinos Curling Team.

Camp Nakamun, $5,000 - Funds to renovate and upgrade the swimming pool change rooms. The upgrades will increase privacy and accessibility, with mobility assistance to help ensure all pool users are comfortable and supported using the change rooms for many years to come.

Operation Round Up is a program that provides grants to initiatives that support rural youth and seniors using funds raised from participating EQUS members rounding their monthly bills up to the nearest dollar. Operation Round Up funds are awarded by a committee that consists of the EQUS CEO, one representative from the EQUS Board of Directors, and three EQUS members. The committee meets quarterly to review applications and award funding of up to $5,000 per initiative.

The next deadline to apply for Operation Round Up Funding is coming up on March 31!
