Meet Your EQUS Team: Finance and Member Service

We're introducing some of the friendly faces that are powering the future of EQUS. Our team members bring their skills, knowledge, expertise, and values to their work every day. Their dedication and hard work are what keeps the lights on for EQUS members.

EQUS' Finance and Member Service team are responsible for delivering the personalized member service that EQUS members appreciate and expect. They're the friendly voices that answer the phone at EQUS' Corporate Office and they take care of all EQUS member billing and accounts, as well as EQUS' finances and accounting.

When EQUS members call in with questions about their account or bills, our team of Member Service Administrators are available to provide information, make changes to their account, and help members understand their bills and all of their options when it comes to their electricity service.

Some of the most common billing questions they help members with include:

  • Understanding Charges - There are many components to electricity delivery in Alberta and we're always available to answer questions and ensure you understand how you're being billed for your service.
  • Retail Electricity Options - EQUS members are free to purchase electricity services from a retailer of their choice which includes EQUS' Co-operative Energy Rate, competitive retail service, or Regulated Rate Option.
  • Budget Billing - Eligible members can sign up to have their annual costs averaged so that monthly bills are the same throughout the year, and any difference in the total is 'settled-up' at the end of the year.
  • Billing Options - EQUS members can choose to receive their bills and newsletter in the mail each month, or sign up for e-billing and the e-newsletter and receive both by email.
  • Payment Options - There are many ways EQUS members can pay their bills including by mail with a cheque, at the bank, online or telephone banking, through pre-authorized withdrawal, by credit card over the phone (with applicable fee), or payment can be dropped off at any EQUS office.
